  Would You Rather 2012

  ★★½ Rewatched 23 Mar 2025

  Not a great movie, but overall fairly effective. (I had to physically get up and pace around during a certain scene. 👁️ 🩸) It’s a simple premise with a paint by numbers plot, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing considering what kind of movie this is. At the very least, worth the watch for Jeffrey Combs.

  Well this was the final nail in the Halloween coffin for me, thus solidifying my general distaste for this trilogy. I thought I hated KILLS, but this had me almost nostalgic for another “EVIL DIES TONIGHT!” chant (almost).

  As with the last two entries, there are moments here I liked quite a bit — some solid lighting/framing, a wacky out of left field opening, and a gnarly practical FX-filled kill that almost had me cheering — but overall it never…
