    F91 is a 50 episode tv show scrapped for parts and cobbled together into a 2 hour movie. The first 30 minutes is Gundam at its best. It’s a tense and chaotic spectacle in which humanity is caught under foot of these Godlike machines of war. After those first minutes F91 devolves into an incoherent clip show.     As part of the pre-production Paul Verhoeven was given a stack of Judge Dredd comics. As he spoke no English, he probably read them in French. This isn’t relevant to anything. I just felt smart for making that connection. Robocop is great. Go watch Robocop.
