  Some really amazing imagery, but sadly far too slow with not enough to say to make up for it. Picks up a bit in the second half, but still mostly just a grim slog.

  While the plot is convoluted nonsense, it's what really made this work for me. When there isn't killing going on you've at least got some shit about magic femurs and an incomprehensible corporate child sacrifice plot to look forward to. It ends up feeling like a long forgotten horror novel you'd find buried in the back of a used bookstore.

  The scene with the defense contractors is pretty good but overall this has about as much depth as a "Be Kind" bumper sticker. One of the most okay movies of the 2000s.
