i'm not a super clever person, and i like what i like. i probably overrate things. shrug emoji.
This was smart, sexy, and just a really good time. Fassbender and Blanchett are a goddamn power couple, and they really carry the whole show.
I wish I had more to say, but I don’t. I went in, I loved the acting and premise, and walked out having enjoyed myself a good bit. Worth it.

I was intrigued by this from the ambiguous trailers, and ultimately, I think this delivers on a "cool-concept-low-budget" front.
The acting felt pretty natural throughout (the dialogue felt a bit off in parts, but that could be just me), though I wouldn't say any of the performances of the main cast stood out above the others. Everyone was here, doing their thing, and they did it well.

The acting was fantastic.
The sets were beautiful.
The costumes were amazing!
The soundtrack (and sound design) were all on point.
And I didn’t like it.
I don’t know why. I love all of the pieces of this individually, but collected together. . . I didn’t. I haven’t seen the original Nosferatu, nor do I have much of an interest in rectifying that.

I went into this movie relatively blind, aside from knowing that it’s about an architect who immigrates to the US around the time of the Second World War.
