Beautiful--in spurts--but unfortunately hindered by sloppy storytelling and terrible pacing.

I'm going to start my hobby as a movie critic with a review that will probably get me kicked off this site.

Unlike the rest of the world, which I can only assume has gone mad, I did not enjoy the latest Mad Max. Not even a little. Granted, I was never a fan of the originals, so maybe you can take my review with a grain of salt and assume that if you did love the originals, you'll love…

  • Nope

    Nope

I'm going to make it my life's mission to convince people this is a terrible movie, because it is.

Absent of tension, void of fully-formed characters, wildly unfocused, consistently cutting away from scenes far too early, complete with awful pacing, terrible ADR, no character arcs, no logic, and no connective tissue from scene to scene.

Am I being too harsh? Sure, I'll admit that (and yes, I admired both GET OUT and US), but we need to stop lowering the bar of entertaining "cinema", because otherwise, 50 years from now, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, will be considered the pinnacle of cinema, and I can't accept that.
