    The Pianist

The movie is wonderful and important, especially now. Remembering where we've been before so we never go back again is so necessary, and these stories need to keep being told just so if something even remotely seems like were sliding back we can jump on it. Adrian Brody's performance is transformative, by the third act he doesn't remotely resemble the man that was a famed pianist in the beginning. So Close

I love early 2000s action movies, and this one is even sappier and more melodramatic then most (YUM). I just couldn't really get behind the action here. The choreography is amazing, but the cinematography and the editing are so overdone it hardly lets you enjoy what they've created on set. A strangely powerful movie set in post WW2 Japan, a movie where the human characters are every bit if not more captivating than Godzilla himself. Because we care so much about the people in harm's way, it makes the set pieces all the more spectacular, the standoff with Godzilla on a small mine boat is particularly harrowing and exciting. Really enjoyed it.

A totally bonkers body horror movie that took me back to days of REANIMATOR and DEAD ALIVE. Demi Moore's return here is a live-wire, absolutely rageful performance that I loved. Great in your face cinematography, sound design, and editing add to the horror and comedy.

    Really enjoyed.
