More distopian sci-fi from Szulkin. A prisoner is sent to another planet as part of a state sponsored space program. The allegory was a bit of a mystery to me but the vision is dark and surreal, which I dig.

Massacre Time 1966
It's not hyperbole to say that Lucio Fulci is one of the most versatile directors in Italian genre cinema. Horror, crime, Giallo and here, the Western, all successfully navigated. In Massacre Time he has a lot at his disposal: a script by Fernando di Leo; two of the greatest leading men in Franco Nero and George Eastman; a strong score by Coriolano Gori. Unsurprisingly he does not drop the ball and creates a very enjoyable movie.

Bone Tomahawk 2015
Intelligent postmodern reworking of the western. The exploitation elements emphasise the uneasy moral implications of the necessary purging of the natives. The movie is very well acted with the script particularly strong.
Warning: the finale is extremely gruesome and disturbing.
