The Thing 1982
Such a fun watch. Incredible special effects, probably the best I’ve ever seen. One of my favorite plots in a film, such a genius idea. I love the decision to make sure the audience also doesn’t know which of the crew is infected by “The Thing,” making for a tense film from start-to-finish. No real deep themes that I could pick up on, but it didn’t need that. A really nice ensemble cast that felt lived in, gripping scares and fun moments throughout. Incredibly rewatchable.

This film never takes a moment to slow down until the final 10 minutes, and that was a great choice by director Sean Baker.
