Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
thoroughly entertaining as usual—and surprisingly some of the saddest scenes in mcu with no real tragic occurrence, illustrating the power of soundtrack and cinematic storytelling. Deep appreciation for comically showing the ignorance of seasoned space pilots unable to open a car door—the beauty of breaking the fourth wall. but the best part was vibing to “come and get your love” in the theater to throw it back to vol 1 in a bittersweet wrap up of the guardians of the galaxy.

Ah! the wind and the waves and the rolling hills, the stone walls and huts, the lowly everyday life of an Irish islander, the small town pub and the music—oh the music! fiddles and drum—the definition of magic. the sights and sounds of Inisherin. a story that only sticks because of a violinist’s sheer stubborn determination of the will to cut off one’s own fingers just to prove a point to a friend who is lost without him. i loved the movie more for the visuals and setting and aesthetic than anything.
