Nothing but appreciation for the set design that gives this uncanny valley effect. I don’t know the particular background of the paintings and artworks but from the get go I realised this movie is about light, proportions, etc. The story was really not very driven but the whole time watching I was curious what this is about, why do I feel a certain way. Are the shadows painted? What is real and what just seems to be real.
This rating goes to the set work of this film. Have not seen anything quite like it yet.
