  omg this was agonizing and i almost turned it off! i genuinely thought i was going to like this. this movie thinks it’s being quiet, contemplative, and deep but the script and acting are so stiff and hard to believe. so much of what happens feels … corny?? tumblr fakedeep? i didn’t buy anything about the two main characters’ relationship or desire to be around each other. nearly every shot was beautiful and i appreciated that but it didn’t make…

  fuck it, 5 stars. why not? what could have possibly been better about this? the interview with the director afterwards sealed the deal — this was created with such care and thoughtfulness and that really shines through in every single shot. i loved the sketchy naturalistic art style, loved that the characters weren’t “cute” or “pretty”, they were just kids. obviouslyyy loved the message. i’ve been giving too many half stars for things recently and like why? who cares. 5…
