  her performance was as a+ as it was when i saw her live but this film was. NOT GOOD. it was shot so conservatively that it wasn’t enough to give a sense of thrall and scale but it wasn’t intimate enough to give taylor’s stage presence room to shine. i wonder if the choice of venue also contributed, a stadium is a stadium but the audience also reflected back this not vibe vibe. making a concert film is hard and needs more of a plan and structure than “film singer”. she should hire parkwood to do her next one.

  It really drives me crazy that no one wants to address her really insane paranoia and absolute hatred and fear of Black people and Jews. It’s glossed over in both her diaries and in this film. Something really terrible happened to her to get to the point where she is making up fake personas to write letters to newspapers against Jewish people and that is just ignored. I love Patricia, but come on.
