I love Pedro with my whole soul

I will always be infinitely intrigued with the sins of science. Moral quandry mixed with the drive of discovery and security is an experience I believe I have more regularly than most, as I struggle with existential obsession. This film was beautifully made, well acted, and gave an attempt at a wider and (somewhat) more honest picture of a time we continue to heal from. My greatest complaint is the lack of real impact of devastation portrayed in the film. More time, more writing, and more emotion could and ought to have been spent on the real suffering and devastation committed against Japan and its people.

Subterfuge cannot defeat love, but love defeats all. This film somehow merged silly and serious in such a way that all I could do was enjoy the bad ass ride.

And flying soldiers in a bamboo forest is always the right choice. Always.
