Sing Sing 2023
Simple, human, honest, tender. I loved this, loved it. Loved the beautiful performances and wow, Colman Domingo! You go glen coco! Thought this should have won everything and then some. Cried pretty much throughout. I loved how the camera captured peoples' faces and their gentleness. All around a winner for me. A restoring experience to witness the power of their art, and art itself and how it can transform. Love it when a story is entrusted to the audience, to be exactly as it is. Thank you - thank you for this wonder!

Conclave 2024
There were elements of this I really enjoyed, the gossiping, the cliques, the fluid and unwavering Ralph Fiennes but for me the meticulous attention to the world of the film allowed for too much slowness. And at times I felt I wanted just a little shove more. Kind of wanted the "twist" that I kept hearing about at the end, to be Ralph Fiennes having secretly planned everything for his succession. Enjoyed nonetheless.
