    Waiting...

    ★★½

It's got some funny scenes and jokes, though there is an actual story, Waiting could have easily just been a day in the life of the workers at this restaurant and that's it. Dean's arc of not knowing what he wants to do with his life was fine but it didn't really add anything to the film since for all intesnove purposes this film shouldn't have had an actual story.

    Con Air

    ★★½

Con Air is probably the most 90's film I've ever seen and honestly, it didn't live up to expectations. With my dad saying how amazing it is and its status of being a "classic", I knew it wasn't going to be a thematically deep story but even as a 90's action film, I still found it lacklustre. Moments that…

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

    ★★★

I must say this film has almost no directional style, it feels so plain and uninspired. It also happens to not have the best pacing either, which makes it feel much longer than it is. These pacing issues however are in large part, due to the human segments of the film.

Created with incredible visual effects that still hold up today, the chimp segments of this film are so much more entertaining and intriguing than the formulaic human drama…
