  This one really dragged for me - I felt like I kept waiting for the movie to get started (and to be honest, I kept falling asleep during the last hour or so of the movie). A large part of the movie is spent on the character development of the main character, Lydia Tar, played by Cate Blanchett with an award-worthy performance. There is no lack of depth to this character - so much so that it makes you wonder…

  Fun to watch and had some truly funny moments. Lots of good cameos but the Bowen Yang one had to be my fave. Not sure I would watch it again but hoping there are more stories like this in this genre.

  I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't truly awful. It's not quite at the level of holiday charm that Will Farrell achieved with Elf but I could definitely see myself watching this again (and again) over the holidays. A a fresh take on a classic story and I like that they don't spend too much time retelling what we already know. The musical aspect was fun but none of the songs really stuck with me afterward. Definitely a fun watch if you're looking for something festive and new over the holiday season.
