Léon: The Professional 1994
I was entertained and thought the plot was creative. I appreciated the symbolism in the film and found the dynamic between Mathilda and Leon to be very interesting. It felt like a twisted Karate Kid at many points honestly. The film had more gore than I’d prefer though so be warned.

The Blair Witch Project 1999
I’m a fan of found footage horror movies and liked how realistic this one felt (I could totally imagine something similar happening to me and getting lost in the woods with friends). Though, I did feel like this movie was missing a bit of a punch. The vast majority of the film was spent with anticipation and anxiety growing as the situation got more dire, but by the end I wish it had more scare.
