Underrated and overhated as hell. For what this movie achieved in 1999 is absurd, watch the new 1080p versions and tell me those shots aren't gorgeous.
This is the movie that got a new generation in to Star Wars, the originals would never have done that lets be real.
Pros:

- Has some incredibly gorgeous shots and is very good at building tension or creating space like in the epic lightsaber battle…
The Rock's most unbearable side at 200%. A genuinely bad movie that didn't need to be just over 2hrs long. Look, I'm all for popcorn action flicks that you can sit back and just enjoy but this one is the epitome of giving too much leeway to bad action flicks just because they're 'not supposed to be deep' or 'can just be enjoyed as is'.

Brings you that comfy 2000's nostalgia even if you didn't watch it back then. A movie you can watch in passing and just chill and be entertained. There's something about the pacing in this movie which just works.
