I watched this with English subtitles, but it honestly felt like the movie spoke to me in my native language. I know some critics labeled this movie as predictable, and it totally is. However, it's heartwarming and fresh (at least compared to the movies that have come out recently). The soundtrack and music bumped this movie to a 4/5 for me.

This movie made me cry again. I might be biased, but this movie has grown up with me. It made me realize that the most "boring" parts of life may become the moments you cherish the most.

I know this movie was incredibly well received when it first came out (even earning an Academy Award). To me, it was my childhood. I moved often as a young girl and Chihiro was incredibly easy to relate to. As I've gotten older, I still consider it to be a complete masterpiece. The art, the story, the soundtrack.... It's all there. Probably one of the greatest movies ever made.

Chilling. Absolutely horrifying, but you can't look away.
