Ok sorry not for me. Too long, and McConaughey & LookingGlass’ chemistry was not convincing enough to motivate the second half of the movie, on top of the fact that LookingGlass wasn’t engaging enough to watch until maybe the last 30 minutes of the movie… :/ A film that tries to do A LOT and I felt a little miserable watching. Sorry……

Atmospherically and visually, this movie is breathtaking. Obviously. We expected that. I can’t say as much narratively, and it definitely didn’t help that I could barely understand what they were saying most of the time!!
I felt it kind of exploitative to be set in Mexico (although it wasn’t shot there) and South America all the while all of the main characters are white (and male… it takes half the movie’s runtime before a female character has a speaking role…
