It was confusing. I believe the ending is up to interpretation, but the film brings nostalgia to when we were all kids wondering what our parents did at our age
The way we are able to piece together our own ending is my favorite part of the film. You are able to reflect back into each scene bringing life to each character and with each hint you the watcher can conclude what really happened.

Honestly sad to think this is what happens to a lot of women in Hollywood and how there's a concept of being in your "prime" during your 20-25, after that you are concerned old or 'aged'. It can be different for men, a lot of cosmetic surgery goes to those women who believe they need to maintain a youthful appearance but aging is a blessing. Who knows who was the first person to presume aging in a negative light
