This movie is so well done—everything from the cinematography to the sound design is top-tier. It absolutely nails what it’s trying to say, and I respect that. But also… what the actual fuck.

I do not like body horror, and this movie is basically just that. I can’t believe I sat through it. It’s cool, it’s well-crafted, but it also made me want to curl into a ball and never think about it again. If you’re into this kind of thing, you’ll probably love it. I, however, will be trying to scrub certain scenes from my brain for the foreseeable future.

Did not expect this movie to go the way it did, but honestly? I’m not mad about it. Mickey 17 is a weird mix of existential sci-fi and dark humor, and while it’s not what I anticipated, it was surprisingly solid.

The acting was probably the strongest part—Robert Pattinson (though that accent???) does well with the material, but Mark Ruffalo? Absolutely killed it. His performance was both unsettling and hilarious in the best way possible. The whole cast brought their A-game, making the film way more engaging than it had any right to be.

Not perfect, but definitely worth the watch.

Finally got around to watching The Elephant Man because so many of my friends have seen it, and it’s one of my friend’s favorite movies. And yeah, I get why—it’s powerful, emotional, and beautifully made.

John Hurt is incredible, and Anthony Hopkins quietly shines too. The story is heartbreaking, but it’s also so tender and humane. It’s not an easy watch, but it’s worth it. Definitely one of those movies that stays with you long after it’s over.
