  I don’t have many coherent thoughts at this moment but what I will say is that this was my most anticipated film of the year and it lived up to my expectations. An extremely sincere and surreal view on love and longing that just had my jaw on the floor for the entire runtime. I thought this was heartbreaking and simultaneously life affirming. Definitely doesn’t hurt that it’s so visually stunning as well 

  Side note: people are not prepared for slutty gay fat suit Jason Schwartzman. He is beyond current means of comprehension

  Hugely impressive. Obviously, the editing is just astonishing but so is the general visual creativity. And the Junkyard King is giving fevered nightmare cobbled together out of bits of Russian mental detritus. It’s great.

  the gentle rhythms of slow cinema, punctuated with unnerving cuts away, sudden instances of handheld photography, the carcass of a fawn, abrupt ceasings of eiko ishibashi’s gorgeous score, a bead of blood swelling and dropping from a thorn, cues us to consider the titular assertion about evil in relation to labour, land, the conquering of territory and animals.
  bookended with shots of day and night, the camera skating, staring skyward, towards the trees: one accompanied by the lush score, the other with ragged breaths. loved the ending— everything it does, everything it undoes

  And that dating app sounded so intense ..
