Nykvist & Bergman are such a power couple. This film is so breathtakingly gorgeous and the dialogue has that special Bergman spice of anxious and eloquently verbose narcissists that I can't get enough of.

Like doomscrollong tiktok brainrot for two and a half hours. Somewhat entertaining and fun but not satiating. Abysmal writing with a neat concept that could have been a pretty ok short film. The film is built around 'Hype' moments that don't really land due to substanceless characters monologuing about something Nolan found in a bad shounen anime that he thought was cool. It is impressive how effortlessly uncool Nolan manages to make this film. Not all bad tho, pretty ok cinematography and sets, neat practical effects and Pattinson is good given the circumstances. It also totally works as a comedy.
