Looking in the mirror post 🧪 and feeling pretty good about myself?

In this economy, we are all replaceable. Fame means nothing. Beauty is decided by us, but not for us. What you value is who you are, nothing more, nothing less.

I could go on with one-liners, but I'll say this: Elisabeth, you're a star.

Also—maybe I'm fucked up but—I feel like as a woman with a period, seeing all that gore wasn't so bad? I mean it's nasty, but bodies are pretty nasty. Am I right?

"What about you? Do you like girls?
    I don’t… I don’t know.
    Boys?
I… I think that I like TV shows."

I don't know. I think that I liked I Saw the TV Glow? Maybe even more than liked. I just don't fucking know what I think about it. I'm emotional, scattered, disturbed, sad, I relate, and yet I feel like I don't know what to feel. I need more time, because I'm not sure if I want to rewatch…

I could talk about this film for hours. Despite being dialogue free, Flow manages to say so much. (Don't even get me started about the visuals, the animation and design is absolutely breathtaking. The textures, the colors, the light! I am in awe. Oh, and the soundtrack, magical).

Let's talk about themes, symbols and hidden messages.

The location and the event is driving the story but it isn't the message. Maybe this is because the characters can't talk and ask…

"Too long I've been afraid of, losing love I guess I've lost. Well if that's love it comes at much too high a cost."

Never not hitting me right in the heart. Third time's the charm?

Also, I guess Glinda's wand (in the beginning/end) doesn't have a point? Everything has a point here.
