This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I remember watching it for what would've been my fifth or sixth time in theaters when it came to American theaters for the first time. I took my brother with and midway through the movie when the credits rolled he had asked me if the movie was over. I told him no and don't worry it gets worse. I saw the movie multiple times and had watched the series multiple times and still left the theater crying like it was…
Got high and watched this movie and it was the best decision I could’ve made. I cried like a baby, sobbed like a Victorian woman, and laughed like me. Everything about the movie felt like a pinpoint precision laser shot into my emotions and my personal troubles really resonated with the movie’s plot points in such a bizarre but real way. The action scenes were phenomenal and Ke Huy Quan was in it. One of my favorite movies period.
I had sleep paralysis a ton as a kid and still am afraid of the dark. This movie encapsulates that fear more than anything and that’s such a core fear in my head that I didn’t think any movie could tap into nor do I want another movie to do so like this.
