Aliens 1986
Although I prefer Alien in almost every way (characters, atmosphere, music, etc), I still thoroughly enjoyed this. I had started watching this one a couple years ago but stopped halfway thru because I found some of the characters’ personalities annoying. I’m glad I came back and watched the whole thing tho cuz that last hour is a total thrill ride. The action is fire, the special effects bang, and that mother/egg scene is just disgusting in the best way possible.

Deeply spiritual and holy… Having already seen a couple of Terrence Malick’s films I expected nothing less.
I have to say this one is particularly special to me though. It tapped into a very vulnerable part of my mind. The feelings Jack experiences and the questions he asks are strangely familiar. There are moments that happen that brought back memories, happy and sad, I haven’t thought of in years. Almost overwhelming but there was enough beautiful imagery and meditative space…
