While it ages a little as a silent film, there is a lot to love about this film. The main actor does an incredible range of emotions; the blind main actress does a lovely supportive role; the story follows through (mostly) logically. The expressionism in this film is amazingly rich, and some scenes like the last theater scene and the last in the house of lords are especially moving.

When donating platelets I like watching a film I've seen before, it has a good amount of action in it, and is typically around 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours long.

Oblivion is a good and reachable film - one that has a clever story, some little throwbacks on rewatch, and a good starring cast, Tom Cruise stands out best, Morgan Freeman isn't really in this film that much. Previous rating of 6, but that feels low for this type of movie. Raising it to a 7.

I find lopsided stories a little weird, and this kicks off with some light humor before going weird and dark. While I liked how the episode played out (and shout out to HADS from the classic series!) I think it works well because of the casting choices. Personally I think it's a very good 45m episode, but the bookends are too distracting for it to be *great*.

Story itself is weird enough for Doctor Who, and with a strange assortment of happenings (from big top escapades), and characters (from a British adventurer, to creepy clowns, to a robot ticket clerk). Ultimately a little overly strange for my tastes, but ok for it's time. Seen on Tubi.
