  I went back and forth on if I was going to go see this film as Jonathan Majors has proven himself to be a person who has done some truly awful things and has violent tendencies. It felt pretty uncomfortable watching a film where he plays someone who has violent tendencies but has deluded himself into thinking he is a good and honorable person.

  Hour of the Wolf 1968

  This was great, but I definitely need to rewatch it. There’s so much to unpack and it feels closer to something like Persona than one of Bergman’s works like Wild Strawberries. This is really Bergman’s horror film that purges the depths of the human psyche. It’s a lot more disturbing than I expected, but I really dug this.
