It's entertaining, but I was left a little disappointed as there's nothing new or especially exciting here. It's all a b too on the nose and long. Maybe my expectations were just too high?

Wow. Fernanda Torres is incredible in this movie. It's worth watching just to see her phenomenal performance. The subtly of all the emotions is wonderful. It's an intense, political, thriller than really shines a light into the banality of dictatorships and evil. It's not a light watch, but it's so well made. The production design to recreate 1970s Brazil is wonderful. It is too long though. It was two epilogues, both of which could easily have been cut to make the film better.

"Who would want me to be part of their life"

I've never experienced anything quite like it. When it ended there was a spontaneous standing ovation that lasted through the entire credits.

Brendan Fraser's performance is incredible, but honestly the whole cast is incredible. I expect many Oscars to come this film's way.

It's emotional throughout, but the final five minutes will wreck you. It did me.

Go and see it.
