I’m grateful that thoughtful filmmakers have control of this property right now, so in all the areas in which I’m underwhelmed or disinterested, there’s so much thought that’s obvious to me that these filmmakers cared immensely. Whether they hit the mark or not, it’s all done with more care and thought than any previous iteration since 1978.
