Dear Diary,
Today I watched Despicable Me.
I haven’t seen this movie in several years, but I’ve got a cold and wanted to watch something familiar. It’s crazy to me that Illumination Studios became an animation titan after this film.
It’s hilarious and heartwarming. I love how colorful the art style is. I love the adoption story and learning to change and trust again. The minions are insane.
This is a great film.

Today I watched My Neighbor Totoro.
Here were some highlights: Beautiful artistry. Whimsical characters. Idyllic story.
The intentionally slow and unassuming plot leaves the audience smiling as they reminisce upon the wonder of childhood. It might also make them sleepy. I now feel the need to yell, “TO-TO-ROOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
