  Blockbuster of the year! Adore how this movie is willing to spend time with the characters, allowing time to pass, while Godzilla is in the background constantly haunting. The main character actually feels like the main character, not someone who’s just there to run through a bunch of action set pieces and say one-liners.

  We have a flawed and haunted main character, and his arc is so satisfying and beautiful. A nice relief from the sarcastic and generally apathetic characters…
