Mufasa: The Lion King 2024
Like you I’m no fan of the photorealistic “live action” Disney fare.
They’re toughest for me to swallow when also beholden to a beloved original classic, going through the motions beat for beat. Mufasa doesn’t have those restrictions, and that gave Barry Jenkins a little room to breathe. You can feel his touch throughout this more than Favreau, Ritchie, Or Zemmikis, directors I like, have been able to pull off.
