The Northman 2022
Excellent visuals, set design, costuming, and vfx work, but sadly all the good that went into the building blocks of this movie was muddled by it being just another white male rage tale. Main character literally is just a psychopathic, violent killer--I really feel like I've just seen enough of that shit these days. Anya Taylor-Joy plays her character well but is just an automatic love interest for the hero in that kind of empty way you always see in these types of movies.
