  this is the perfect analogy of the class division in our society

  edit: how ratatouille is a political film about classism in society (paris, where it’s set)

  although ratatouille can be argued that it is capitalist propaganda about how someone starting from the bottom can make it anywhere, the scene where the rats invade the kitchen, this shows a stark contrast to how tsarism and transitionary capitalism (the kitchen) were taken over by the rats (the bolshevik revolution)

  in a sense remy, whilst climbing the socio-economic ladder, manages to not only personally succeed but also liberate his entire class (the rats)
