  Maybe I have watched too many serious movies about mental health, but something about How to Explain Your Mental Illness to Stanley Kubrick almost instantly pinged my love of absurdist humor when I started watching it.   "To me it all felt like one of those dumb quasi-spiritual awakening motivational workshops people pay way too much to see and then tell all their friends changed their life...that just have lame universal messages like "we're all many different people and different things but we're more than that and we're all the same but individuals too"
