A good old Jackie flick taking us on a fast ride with the customary partner in 'Jackass' Johnny Knoxville who quite outdoes himself with a neat performance. The fun and frolic go in favor of the movie, but the core story was so outdated like Jackie himself who manages to do astonishing stunts despite his age - while the same cant be said about the movie which disappoints!

    Kalavani

    ★★★

A genre defining attempt that brings out what rural comedies ought to be - not a movie set in the rural milieu and random comic sequences interspersed, but a naturally flowing set of events that reek of rural nativity which impart a feel of humor inherently - Kalavani stood out in that aspect which impressed with relatively fresh faces too!

This was turning out to be an excellent account of the plight faced by two families with unmanageable kids until the 'model' couple of Surya and Amala Paul showed up to drag things further. No denying the feel was good, but when you turn preachy, you better offer a practical solution, which this movie doesn't! An Interesting plot around the lesser talked about ADHD among kids and aided by natural acting from most of the parents was enjoyable while i felt the story gets too preachy and is drawn out needlessly to end without intent apart from unnatural acting from the child cast.

    Kodi

    ★★½

Kodi is surely not one of the usual movies for it has a script that pits the lead lady on equal terms as the protagonist while featuring good music and sporting a well-knit screenplay that works for most of the time – just enough to keep it flying past the pitfalls! Trisha and Santosh Narayanan are the star attractions that impress and overshadow Dhanush's dual role.
