been thinking about medieval manuscripts and 2d animation lately so I had to rewatch this.
the animation is so lovely and charming and it's use of style and space is so unique- I love it so much! you can tell the animation improved a bit with song of the sea (and presumably wolfwalkers though I haven't seen it yet) but this is still an absolute joy to watch and I adore the influence of manuscript illumination on the style.
and, I love listening to irish accents
