truly a gem. watched at the recommendation of my housemate. Laughed so much. Maybe the best movie I've ever seen that has the potential to entertain both young and old; perhaps even better than, dare I say it, Shrek. Good soundtrack too.

Kinda dark for a Shrek movie though?? Didn't have the great soundtrack and as many good jokes as the previous ones.
But I think it was better than Shrek 3 at least, had more emotional depth.

Shrek 2 is pure gold. One day I hope to understand every pop culture reference made in this movie. It must have been a goddamn blast coming up wit this shit.
I still think the first is slightly better, just for the pure, simple wonderfulness. Plus Fiona has less of her spark in Shrek 2.
