A Real Pain 2024
I thought it was pretty impressive considering this is Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut. I thought the story was sweet and I liked learning the little historical bits about Poland along the way. I’m surprised Kieran Culkin won the Oscar for this movie considering he’s just playing a slightly different version of Roman Roy from Succession. I’d like to see Culkin try something more challenging for him.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
Oh wow. This review is going to sound dramatic and corny but all of it is true. I walked out of the theatre feeling like a brand new person. Everything had fallen into place. All of my values and goals made sense and I felt it was finally time to execute them. For the first time in a while, I could breathe. I could not have watched this movie at a more pivotal time in my life.
This film doesn’t take itself too seriously while also touching on some heavy topics relating to family and romantic love. God this film did something to me. Holy fuck.
