  It’s pretty tedious. There are fun moments of course but it’s pretty obvious why tighter stories (the stage version) work better. I don’t really think the stuff they added/expanded upon are really not adding any value and just detracts from the overall entertainment.

  Liked it. Didn’t love it. Beautiful to look at for sure. Seems to work best in the first third or so but then I got a bit bored with the extremely faithful retelling of it all.

  While I’m not the world’s biggest animation fan, this movie was a great watch. Cant remember an animated film I’ve enjoyed this much since Spiderverse (and before that maybe Up). Feels really fresh and has some genuine laughs.  Can definitely feel some kinship to the humor and style of Gravity Falls.  My only gripe is the slightly bloated runtime but it’s only a minor complaint.
