Death of a Unicorn 2025

This movie is a great example of how a great ensemble cast and some solid kills can really elevate a script that's a little rough around the edges at times
The Village 2004

Honestly, some really interesting ideas at play here. The desire to return to simpler times, the cultish aspects, control through fear. Even the divisive ending strengthens these ideas, though it's execution is a bit flimsy.
Bryce Dallas Howard gives a surprisingly strong lead performance, as does most of the ensemble (am I crazy for thinking that William Hurt was really bad in this?).
Honestly really appreciate Shyamalan for big swings like this, not a lot of filmmakers these days really get to have the kind of variety he has on Hollywood budgets
