  Campy political comedies rarely tug at the heartstrings like Mickey 17 does — congrats Bong Joon Ho. 
  With his Oscar-winnings in pocket, it’s clear BJH wanted to make a film that he hoped would nestle deep in the minds of American audiences; and he delivered. As heavy as Mark Ruffalo’s upper jaw implant, the parallels to both Trump and Musk are so on-the-nose that you can’t help but laugh. What the hell is with the sauce obsession?

  Coleman Domingo, i will always love you. performances that genuinely brought me to tears.  Clarence "Divine Eye" Maclin and Jon-Adrian "JJ" Velazquez fucking blew it away (and are actual alumni of the RTA program!). Maclin is able to simultaneously make your blood run cold and warm your heart. An actor through and through. 
  the set design was impeccable, and particular shots are gonna stick in my mind for a long time. 
  there is definitely a conversation to be had about why this was snubbed so hard by the academy … but i’m sure we all know why.
