SUN'S UP!
This starts like a teen comedy, adds a touch of of rom-com, and then adds something a little more clever. What happens when the sorority girl becomes a lawyer? Well of course she brings in a whole new perspective. It's cheesy, but it's fun and filled with that early 2000s pretty people being pretty.
I'm not going to pretend like this film is very good, but I'm not going to sit back and say it's the worst thing ever. I think it's actually kind of fun and not a bad jumping off point for what would become a reworked and very popular tv series. I think it needed a bit more of a budget and share a little more of the shows darker tone to blend with the comedy but the performances are pretty fun. And wait... was that Ben Affleck?
So solid! There are few things like watching a good slice of life film. It's definitely got the Stephen King bullies and tight nit group of friends that you'd expect from a story like this, but the kids do such a good job of being real and relatable!
