Lots of great practical effects and a hunky Harrison Ford! Definitely a fun watch as an adult, probably haven’t seen it since I was a pre teen kid.

The Thing 1982
This might be my favorite Carpenter film, the practical effects were amazing. Ennio Morricone creating some awesome soundscapes what more could you ask for. This will also be logged as the night that one of the alien legs (a pine branch) pierced the roof in my home and came for my partner due to an…..ICE STORM!! What a wild ride!

Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 1988
Italio cheese hodgepodge, but holy hell were there a ton of zombies packed into one film, and none of that cgi shit where it’s just hundreds of thousands of duped zombies, these were actual people. They also had pretty much any kind of zombie you’d want in a film: flying zombie head, pregnant zombie, zombie fetus that was just a hand, martial arts zombie, paraplegic zombie, manic fast moving zombie with a machete, I could go on but you get the idea, it’s a jam packed zombie film.
