Described by some as a war movie set in the Star Wars universe. I find Rogue One to be much more than that. Part war movie, part heist film, part political thriller. Rogue one is the perfect standalone Star Wars film despite its aesthetic differences amongst its contemporaries.

Solo: A Star Wars Story 2018
Though from a fan perspective this movie seems unnecessary, I find Solo to be an unexpectedly fun romp through the galaxy. Ehrenreich is believable as the titular character, and the supporting cast is some of the most fun the series has to offer.

The movie has a strong beginning and a strong ending, but everything in between really shows a lack of consistency. From a technical standpoint, the movie has no equal. With standout performances from Mark Hamill and Ian McDiarmid it does well as a capstone to a historically amazing set of movies
