    really ‘nolany’ overall. in this one it’s as if he’s doing the same thing wes anderson did in asteroid city - really focusing on memeing his signature memes above all else

    it was enjoyable imo but also it would have worked just as well in following formats:
    - 2 parts
    - 3 parts once per day for three days
    - 1 season of ~15-20 minute episodes
    - every scene individually on youtube in a playlist

    charming collection of little visual poems tied together by delightful pans and tasteful fades but not really much else except time and place. went by somewhat quickly but nothing happened. captivating world and i liked that every character is inherently good.

    i really enjoyed nearly everything about this crime action thriller. i enjoyed, in particular and in no particular order: the cast and their acting, the soundtrack, the foley work on r pattinson's bashing of people, the composition of many shots, the exceptional amount of bloom in many shots, the really comfortable pacing, chubby riddler, chubby ridder's extremely stylish eyeglasses.

    my one complaint, i guess, if i have any, is just that i really wanted batman to waterboard someone, like us…
