Action and intrigue with some historical MCU callbacks. Everyone does great and the plot points are well woven together.

Adamantium is introduced which makes you wonder if Wolverine will be starting from zero when the X-Men join.

Some directorial choices bothered me, but didn’t take away from the overall success.

Well we’ve reached the stage where we humanize the killers and assassins to the point where we can’t kill any of them off. Instead we lose the decent, regular people.

Lot of action that jumps right in and provides back story later. Good acting and quality.

What’s difficult about this one is that it’s hard to say that I liked it and hard to say that I hated it. There are some very clever elements and good twists, but then you get some really bad choices. I almost left at the dance number. When you watch it, you’re going to say “that’s not so bad” and then later, “oh, he meant this one”, but you’re not even there yet…I guess it’s an impressive feat that I want to like it and I want to hate it at the same time.

    …wow…

Quite a lot of fan service in this one. The MCU is becoming like the Marvel Comics Universe. As more and more movies become connected, a person can feel disconnected to the other stories if they haven’t seen them. With that downside comes the upside of seeing disconnected characters, inside jokes, and a depth of history. This movie is a perfect example of those traits.
