This is a remarkably vibes-based movie. It doesn’t have a lot of substance beyond the aesthetic and it handwaves away events that really could have used some more focus. Fortunately for me, I enjoyed the vibes in question so I had a good enough time.

The Evil Dead 1981
One of my favorite pieces of movie trivia is that Sam Raimi was really excited about the little magnifying glass necklace while Bruce Campbell hated (and still hates) it. It gets a lot of close ups! It didn’t even end up being as important as originally intended! Makes me smile every time I see it.
